Who We Are

Newly located in Midland, MI, Superior Invasive Plant Solutions, LLC is a licensed and insured Commercial Pesticide Application Company. Owner and Operator Dustin Dishaw is a Michigan and Wisconsin Certified Pesticide Applicator in Forestry, Turfgrass, Aquatic, and Right-of-Way pesticide applications. Before founding his company, Dustin previously worked for golf courses during his college summers. Upon graduating with his Bachelor’s degree, he began work for the US Forest Service in 2017 doing invasive plant removal. After the Forest Service, he began work for a private forestry company, as both a forestry technician and commercial pesticide applicator. While building a career in pesticide application, Dustin also took time to work as a Wildland Firefighter. During his time with the Forest Service, Dustin received his Red Card and was able to get on a fire assignment in Montana in 2017. Wanting to learn more about Wildland Fire, he took a six month position on Alaska’s Gannett Glacier Fire Crew in the spring of 2019. Learning more about fire behavior, fire ecology, and its benefits, has helped supplement his base of knowledge to create multi-faceted invasive plant solutions. It is with this culmination of knowledge, as well as seeing a landscape becoming more Invasive-laden every year, that Dustin decided to form this business.
